I am a field biologist, senior scientist and member of the Biology and Conservation of Mediterranean and Tropical Vertebrates group at the University of Granada (Spain), chairman of Harmusch Wildlife Research and Conservation and member of the IUCN Cat Specialist Group. I was involved in the 2001-2013 Iberian lynx conservation programs, and currently the European wildcat focuses my efforts, along with a line of studies on North African carnivores since 2011, which includes long-term research on the ecology and conservation of the Sahara Desert carnivore community (Honey badger, Libyan striped polecat, African golden wolf, Ruppell’s and fennec foxes, sand cat, African wildcat, common genet).
