Andrew holds and MSc from the University of Cape Town. His thesis was conducted through the FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology and focused on the effects of boat-based tourism on waterbirds. Andrew also worked on Spotted Hyenas for his BSc Hons research. Andrew has been working for BirdLife South Africa for 4 years, first on African Penguins and more recently on avitourism projects. Andrew has worked part time as a professional bird and nature guide taking tours across South Africa.
